BURN CALORIES & FAT

A 45 minute spin class may allow you to burn around 500 calories, which is a huge amount when compared to other types of workouts. However, the amount of calories you burn will depend on the resistance you control on the bike. Our Motivators indicate when to increase or decrease, but as you get stronger and fitter, that tension will also increase.

LOW IMPACT EXERCISE

Spinning is a low impact exercise. This means that it won't put pressure on knees and joints, as other aerobic or running exercises do. It is also recommended for people that suffer from arthritis.

BUILDS MUSCLE TONE

Spinning will help you build muscle tone as it focuses on the core muscles, as well as the buttocks and thighs. You can increase and decrease the tension on the bike to simulate riding up or down a hill. While you pedal, you will work your thighs and calves. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Our bikes have a console which tracks the amount of calories you burn, your mileage, your power output (watts) and your heart rate if you wear a heart rate monitor. This means that you can track your progress, which is also a motivating factor.

CAN BE DONE YEAR ROUND

Unlike other types of activities such as jogging, which can be unpleasant when performed during the months with extreme temperatures, a spin class can be performed at any time during the year.
