Two childhood friends living their entrepreneurial dream of owning a fitness studio 15 years later...

Janine & Tammy
Before PUSH cycling studio inc. was ever put into motion, co-founders Janine Hartsook and Tammy Block actively enjoyed inspiring and helping those around them lead a healthy and productive lifestyle.
This passion for motivating those around them started over fifteen years ago when both Janine and Tammy were involved in a high school entrepreneurship class. The assignment was to design a business plan. Janine, Tammy and another classmate, planned to open a small town gym called “Exerfit”. They wrote the business plan and completed the course, then graduated and moved on to further their education, never actually opening the gym.
Janine received a certificate in Dental Assisting and a diploma in Dental Hygiene and continues to work part time. Tammy received a diploma in Visual Communications and pursued her career in marketing.
Several years went by, but the passion and drive to open their fitness studio remained. Toward the end of 2013, Janine and Tammy put their plan into motion and were accepted into Airdrie’s first year of the SMARTstart entrepreneurship program to help achieve their goals.
Today’s “Exerfit” is now PUSH cycling studio inc., and both Tammy and Janine are super excited to share their vision to PUSH, influence and motivate others to reach their fitness goals together in a safe, fun and unique environment.
